1. Getting to Bologna

By Air

Bologna Airport (BLQ): The most convenient option. From the airport, you can:

- Take the monorail (about €23 round trip, 15 minutes). More information can be found here.

- Take a taxi (15 minutes, €20–30; most drivers speak English). Uber is not widely used.

Other Airports:

Venice (VCE): 1–3 hours by car, bus, or train (≈3 hours by train).

Milan (MXP): ≈3 hours by train.

Rome (FCO): ≈4 hours by high-speed train.

Please note there are two main railway operators in Italy: Italo and Trenitalia. It is recommended to check both websites when purchasing train tickets, as prices and availability may vary between the two.

By Car

Renting a car is also an option but trains are usually faster and more convenient.

Please note that only credit cards (not debit cards) are accepted for car rentals in Italy.

By Train

If traveling from another Italian city, the train is highly recommended, fast, economical and scenic. Bologna Centrale station is just a short walk to the city center.

3. Will transportation be provided?

Due to the narrow street in of the church, a shuttle service will be available from Piazza S. Francesco (less than 10 mins way) to the villa immediately following the mass. Return transfers from the villa to Piazza S. Francesco will depart at midnight and 2:00 a.m. No individual stops will be made.
